EON MALL ITAMI TERRACE

There is near my house. This shopping mall was opened October, 2002. It was built in vacant lot. Before, there was a factory. When factory was demolished, I was very surprised. Because I haven’t ever seen such large land. And I couldn’t imagine what shopping mall would be built.

Since there was not big shopping mall nearby, it became big news when this mall was opened. Then I was a junior high school student, I often went there with my friends. So among friends talked this things, “did you already go there?”, “there were ~!” and “I am calling daisi-”. (Now the name was changed. Before DIAMOND CITY TERRACE, so “daisi-”.) That time a lot of people went there, so traffic jam was heavy, especially Saturday and Sunday. I didn’t go these days.
At first I had a sense of incongruity that there is this mall. But seven years have been passed, it became natural. I can’t remember the old scenery.

I feel a little lonely.
But I can’t think the life without this mall anymore! It is import place for many people to go shopping watch movie, eat out and so on.
I will keep on going to EON 　MALL　ITAMI　 TERRACE.

Black thunder ice

Now this ice is my boom. When I found it, I was sure that this is absolutely delicious, because “black thunder” of chocolate which already on the market is delicious and high popularity. So I immediately bought it. I ate this ice; it’s exactly delicious what I thought. It has chocolate ice and a lot of big cocoa cookies in it, so it seemed to eat cookie. I think that it is ice which there was not by now. I have already eaten four ices; I ate all which I bought for family by myself. I told my father about this ice, he said me, “Please buy it this time”. Because he likes “big thunder” of　 this series. So I will buy it for father.


When I searched information about it on the internet, I knew “black thunder” has been selling from 1994. But I didn’t know it and have thought relatively new one. Now this is very popular, but in fact not popular time was very long!





It will be beginning to winter, but I can’t stop eating ice!　To eat ice in warm room is very nice!

Green curtains

In my house, father and mother began to put up “Green curtains” at a window in my brother’s room from July. It is to cover the window with plant due to block out the sunlight. This room especially becomes very hot in summer because much sunlight enters in, so they began it to cool. Green curtains are used climbing plant. My house planted in the balsam pear (Nigauri). Because mother likes it very much.

I wasn’t interested in much, I forgot it. But one day I found small balsam pears in kitchen, I remembered and I went to the window. Balsam pear’s leaf and stem grew and became excellent curtains. The plant’s growth is very quick!

I thought that this curtain is good because temperature of room fall, plant absorbs carbon dioxide and we can harvest vegetable.

But there was a problem, it is dinner. “go-yachanpuru-” frequency was high. We harvested many balsam pears, so even my mother has had enough of it.

I hope for mother and father to plant another plant next year.

Morning musume

Do you remember old members and songs of“Morning musume”？ I remembered it when I was watching“Kizuna Syokudou”. Their glory days was around 2000 when “LOVE MACHINE”was a great hit, then I heard their songs and watched them on TV almost every day. Due to its impact was strong I forgot before. But I gradually remembered by old picture on the TV screen. I felt dear that I saw “Asuka Fukuda”who graduated from morning musume first and heard “Daite HOLD ON ME！”, “Memory Seisyunnohikari”and “Hurusato”. Though I didn’t remember name of songs, I remembered the melody. I thought these are good songs once more. So I will listen these songs slowly once again during summer vacation.

Sky park

There is a park called the Itami sky park near my house. “Itami sky park” is a big park where we can see an airplane near. There are the grass and a few playground equipments, and it is managed cleanly. So a lot of families come. From April to September is the most in year. There is the convenience store where I work near a park, Saturday, Sunday, spring vacation and summer vacation of this time is very very busy. Spring is my recommendable season. It is not cold and hot, and flower is very beautiful. My grandmother enjoys flower and plant of the season when she goes for a walk there. I don‘t go much, but sometime I go walking for exercise with mother.


Also the evening park is good. Various colors light of airplane and airport are seen in the dark and are beautiful. Sure enough, this time has a lot of couples.

favorite comic

I like comic since an elementary schoolchild. Today I introduce “Nodame Cantabile”. This is the classical music comedy that it is set in college of music.

“Shinichi Chiaki” is a top‐level student at Momogaoka College of Music. He wants to study in Europe in order to become a conductor. But he can‘t take an airplane from past trauma. One day he meets a strange person, who is Megumi Noda, everyone call her“Nodame”. She is a student of piano course at Momogaoka College. At first he thinks just strange person, but he appreciate that she has a great talent for piano……….Main characters are Nodame and Chiaki, and there are unique friends, strange teachers and famous musicians surrounding them. This comic is written their growth through music.

I think many people know this story. Because this comic became a TV drama and animated cartoon, and the movie is going to be shown. I like a drama, too. It is rare for me. I don‘t like to dramatize from comic to TV. The reason is that story is different, characters don’t fit and image is broken. I‘m disappointed when it is especially favorite comic. But this drama is good both story and character, especially main character’s Juri Ueno (Nodame) and Hiroshi Tamaki (Chiaki) is very fit. Therefore I‘m looking forward to show this movie in 2010.

I borrowed this comic from a cousin when I was high school student. It became one of favorite comics immediately, and I began to collect myself. I think person who watch a drama can enjoy. If there is an opportunity, please read it.

Problem and solution

　The declining birthrate is one of problems that we must think. The total fertility rate has been steadily decreasing. In 2005, it was 1.25 and the lowest. The main cause is late marriage and late childbirth. In addition, economic crisis, the society advance of the woman, the environmental delay that the woman can have a baby and child care with working and obstetrician shortage. If this problem continues, public pension plan will need to reform that the increase of insurance premium and reduction of benefit. If worst comes to worst, there is a fear that it can’t support the social security of senior citizen with burden of young people.
　One way to solve this problem is to increase obstetricians. Now there is very little number of obstetricians nationwide. As a result pregnant woman can’t find a hospital easily and must go other area to see a doctor. Japan is not country which can have a baby relievedly. So we must think ways to solve. For example, the government should support students who want to become a doctor, protect hospital which is in financial difficulties and overworked doctor. This reform will cost a lot of money, but more obstetricians are necessary to stop declining birthrate.
